Customer Review

Indie / folk pop from England..auf go .. !! Stornoway, come from the elite Oxford and exist since 2005 and have an EP, five singles and three albums now released. Her new work goes by the title: "bonxie". Preliminary, Stornoway listen to differently than many of its British indie band colleagues. With enormous Abwechslungsfreudigkeit could this band confidently titulieren .. !! They sound on "bonxie" partly joyful ("Get Low", "Lost Youth"), sometimes melancholic ("The Road You didn.t Take"), sometimes quite fast ("When You Feeling Gentle"), something behave ("Josephine") ... but always interesting .. !!
"Bonxie", consists of 11 songs spread over 44:42 minutes. Brian Briggs has an enormously clear, clean voice that he knows always skillfully use. Add to this the excellent musicians: Jonathan Ouin keyboards / Ollie Steadman-Bass and the excellent exactly playing drummer Rob Steadman.
"Bonxie" is the strongest output of the Oxford band. The overall impression is very good and "bonxie" is for me one of the highlights so far in the indie genre this year. Therefore, there is also the highest rating.
