A hip-hop album with individuality and many influences

Black on Both Sides (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The long-awaited album from Mos Def is in every respect one of the best hip hop albums in the whole market. As in his previous album "Black Star" he is here again and his individuality and creativity. In addition to classic hip-hop as everyone knows him shows the young artist Dante Smith on this album his musical ability and his love of jazz. His lyrics are moving at various levels, from rap to hip-hop itself to policy issues. Many guest appearances by renowned artists such as Busta Rhymes-and other performers not only from the hip-hop ensemble coming let this album merge into a total experience of "Black Music". From quiet ballads that are tinged by Still directions of guest stars to rhyme battles and heavy bass this album has it all. Although Mos Def is the defining focus of this album but he also shows that he is open to all influences. Even if you can not do much with the traditional rap, this Music cal crossover should treat with binding Guide hip-hop. (This is an Amazon.com at the university-student review.)
