I was also one of many who have played by the open beta BF4 and had worried that Dice / EA throw us a completely unfinished and not optimized game.
The beta was terrible, but far from the final gold status. The release version was quite ok. within one evening about 3-4 crashes of Battlefield.
Although I run my PC with Windows 8.1.
My PC:
Intel Core i5 2500
8 GB of RAM
Nvidia GTX 570
At first with Windows 7 I had about 25 frames, with Windows 8.1, I have a solid 45 frames with very few break-ins. The graphics settings Ultra is going very well in single-player and 2x MSAA on 1920x1080p + Post-FXAA.
Multiplayer runs "only" high and without MSAA, but I can resign myself.
With the latest patches, it has become a little better with the crash but there is still much to do in the game, especially on memory leaks, the new card is inserted or re-enter the game anyway.
The game:
Partially very confusing by the extremely high level of detail - verschmilzen partly as good pawns with the background and the details that I or camp late often do not see standing opponents properly (which was in Battlefield 3 much easier or I had better get used to the optics)
Battlefield 4 very often work with massive light / shadow effects, filters change the visibility or affect visibility. Sometimes one comes before the very unfair and spoils the fun.
The weapons mechanics is often fair but merciless. As hard-bitten hardcore mode supporter displeases me currently the extreme Sniper pay on Domination / Conquest Maps. It's just annoying animal to be constantly taken away on large maps of a sniper, moreover, the one who does not even really make good.
Despite everything, the game is in the squad a lot of fun and provides endless multiplayer fun.
Vehicles:
Partial are vehicles with addons very strong, partly unfair - there's something missing the right balance. Helicopters are worth gold and very strong, since the ground-to-air missiles have been weakened, but it degenerates not yet made. Can we accept.
Server:
There are enough servers, but unfortunately often far too many great server. Not everyone loves 48 or 64 slots server. Make it clear to those mass Fights fun, but most types of pure front in wars in which halt the troop wins the throw grenades more about the walls. Prefer a fast Infantriespiel for good hardcore gamers is usually frustrating, because no way through or flank is possible.
More smaller servers would be worth wishing,. It is halfway in order - a server you will always find.
Maps:
The 10 maps that I have are all hard in order - special favorite maps are operation Locker and Dawnbreaker. Great Domination and Conquest Maps. Some other maps - Rogue Transmission and Flood Zone are nice, but a feast for Sniper and give a little chance as infantry to tear something.
Game Modes:
Defuse - CS in BF - 2 teams - 1 bomb - He who dies is out for the round. Interesting quick round. Game mode is unfortunately too short, because often only 6 round Defuse be played on most servers.
Obliteration: Rush with 3 selectable objects for the team. Each team has to defend 3 points and attack. Super game mode, fast, brutal, sometimes frustrating if you were planning a bomb shortly before croaked, but it's ne Mordsgaudi.
Domination - Best game mode in my opinion. Reiner Infantriekampf, no annoying vehicles. Smaller maps, heated battles and fixed rounds.
