Beware though, if you want to use it on a reflex, as this windshield is very reduced diameter. On some targets (the Nikon 18-70mm, 17-50mm Tamron on the Sigma 30mm, for example), the picture will be reduced to a circle in the center of the image and you will crop. On the Nikon 50mm f / 1.8 and 85mm f / 1.8, the edge of the windscreen is not visible and the whole image is usable.
The clip provided with the windscreen is not the most convenient, I suggest you buy an adapter ring of 43mm to the diameter of your lens ("step down").
Alternatives to the windscreen are
- The extension rings: either they make you lose all the automation, or they are much more expensive than a windscreen and unattractive.
- A macro lens: it will be great for the macro, and usable for other types of photos, but the budget has nothing to do.
This windshield is ideal for those wishing to make the macro occasionally.
