Okay so the product:
_A Bridge that connects up to 50 different Philips products and there is a big +++: From the Living lamp colors (by fiddling the remote control) to light bulbs and the condition of having round (because each element is quite expensive), we can coordinate everything with a single internet connection (but for the bands will require a decision for each). So as you can program each element separately, it becomes a real game and clearly that's interesting.
The downside to this is that you can not use the switch, you need a phone or tablet. It's boring quite quickly as a system, especially when one is not too hip on that BUT +++ another point is that if it is routine, everything is programmed in advance, it is quite worse the activate by entering the home and leaving his house opposite! This morning the bands are lit softly in the bedroom and living room to mean that he would have to get up and then the lights went out at the time to leave. You can program revenue (programming all made that active fully) that will send "messages" to the user as a color change to timer. In terms of creativity, it's like totally awesome system.
_The Bands are two meters long which allows for the length of a hutch or around a frame. These are mood lighting, it is not sufficient in terms of brightness (and yes this is also adjustable). It is better not to leave visible as they are quite ugly off (and advertisers). One side can be cut for the ideal size (the cut end is lost). It takes a decision but the thread is long enough. That said to illuminate a framework if it is not anticipated the passage in the wall, it will not be as good as the pictures. Also unlike photo, a band put under a sideboard is nice but the diodes are reflected in bright points on the ground, even oriented horizontally.
The bands are purely decorative, it is specified on the packaging, you can not really illuminate with unless you want soft lighting.
The product looks solid, it is well presented. the application works is very simple but with little connection present worries. This is done by simply pressing a big blue button on the bridge connected to the box. Simple.
In fact, this starter kit to discover all the possibilities of the product but the main pleasure of this object can only come from a fully programmed complex installation. So you can let your creativity speak: under a desk lighting reacts to an email received (ifftp). Programming a background light that gently off for a child's room. And so on.
I put three stars because it is a good product with great potential in terms of home automation but that opportunities announced by the manufacturer are a bit misleading.
A last note can program yourself an application to control the product, so an opening to those able to do so and open to users, this is a good point of appreciable.
