When I first read the book in school, I was very impressed by the futuristic setting and emphasised a lot with the main character Jonas. Despite the open ending, I liked the story.
Today, I still think the book is very well written and exciting but after analyzing the ending, I do not like the ending did much any more - I will not tell the reasons why for the ones who shut wanna read the book.
Still, the story transports many feelings and you want it to end in a positive way. The happenings and memories are so detailed Described That You Can See thesis lively pictures in your mind.
All in all, I can recommend the book to learners of English Because of its Relatively easy language. It is nice for young adults and adults as well if you are interested in utopian and dystopian novels.
