I listened to a book on CD chapter at a time, as an aid to reflection. Oriah has a pleasant voice and articulates well, which facilitates understanding (CDs are in English).
Oriah invites us to examine our dreams and values. Some passages made me think about the themes in a new way for me before. For example, Oriah asked if the greatest betrayal is not to betray oneself respecting at all costs faith with others here long. Throughout the book / CDs, it is based on personal examples.
Here is the list of the chapters, which represent 4 CDs (the book in its entirety):
Accepting the invitation
The longing
The fear
The sorrow
The Joy
Betrayal
Beauty
Failure
The commitment
The fire
Deep Sustenance
Finding our way home
Oriah begins with the poem itself:
"It Does not interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It Does not interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being white alive ... "
