Having spent some time looking sheep with 5 legs, ie a tablet at the best price / quality ratio for 350 roughly, I opted for the latter. Not without hesitation until unpacking the product elsewhere ... Today, I find it much easier to understand what is expected of a tablet but it is reasonably possible to wait a tablet at that price (I said that I am a professional of the image).
You will find models from Toshiba that seem more technically provided for 90 more than this (as AT10LE). At first sight only because these tablets are real toasters, and have a range and a crippling weight ... for the rest if you want better is roughly 500 (a Samsung Note 10 "for example ).
Concerning the Galaxy Tab 3, here's what I can say the handling is done quite simply, though duality Google / Samsung shows us immediately that we are not at Apple (15 requests to open accounts, sometimes double) but it survives. Second thing, the screen: indeed, the resolution is limited, but not insurmountable, and indeed it is rather the apps (Team on Huff, the World ...) that would benefit from proposing "lubricate" the characters of the articles. The team, for example, uses an extremely fine character for these items, and actually, it is much less readable on an iPhone, which is a shame. However I find very good visual rendering, and playback of movies is quite pleasant (contrary to what I read elsewhere). Certainly on a 2600x1600 panel it must be prettier, but with what autonomy? The sound is good, nothing more (no effect "whow"). An important detail that I did not suspect: the weight. One quickly arrives to hold the tablet by the sides, with small fingers placed below for stalling. And regularly, it is necessary to release a hand to manipulate the interface. The weight so quickly becomes an annoyance. Knowing we have here one of 10 "the lightest on the market (15g more than the air ipad only) one does not regret his choice A blowing detail against. The charging cable is too short ( 60 cm roughly), and the mini USB socket impractical (hard to unplug without pulling at the risk of damaging the cord or plug.) For against the tablet does not heat. The Android Jelly Bean system itself is quite nice ( I work on mac and I have an iphone, so my first time on Android), the possibilities are numerous and fairly simple to implement, such as DLNA (settings> Additional settings> activate DLNA ... having taken care to configure media player on your PC before). We suddenly access to its files to PC from any Wi-Fi connection. It works very well, surprisingly well!
However I find it very disappointing that we are not able to integrate a quality CMOS sensor back on such a device. More than the number of Megapixels is the quality of the sensor that is lacking in my opinion. Ok, it's not a camera but still ... it's like with a webcam of it 15 years ago ...
In short, I am still happy, the only thing I might regret, it is the definition of the screen. 1280x800 is too little! but could not find a tablet in these prices without one or more concessions on other points ... while adding 100 or 200.
Regarding Apple, the fact that the environment is fully closed, and not expandable storage memory bothers me greatly in this kind of product that is midway between the smartphone and the laptop.
In short, I am rather surprised, and I suggest that when you have 300 to put in a tablet!
ps: For the grumpy, the tablet IN FRENCH manual is in the app internet, the first launch.
