As part of the progressive modernization of my home theater system, the subwoofers are over time also repeatedly been replaced. Where initially caused a Yamaha subwoofer for 600 marks for enthusiasm, once a Canton AS 50 SC was used in its place, which produced a much clearer and clean bass. The third evolutionary stage was a Canton AS 650 SC 2, the effect already caused immediately after installation and the first fortuitous for an "aha". The bass was much gleichmäßger distributed in the room without Basswummern in the corners of the room and Bass holes in the center, where one generally rather than sitting in the corner. The Sub played much musical and fine - really rich, clean, clear bass, but in place of the partially somewhat wummerigen sound of AS 50. You could tell immediately that there are several years of development between the generations and the AS 650 SC2 plays in a different league. Finally, the AS 650 SC 2 has now been superseded by the Sub 1200R. However, the primary reason was the desire to have all the room in LS High Gloss White. Sonically the Sub 1200 R is perhaps a tick clear - although both give Subwoofer not much. With 750 rather than 300 watts of music power the 1200R offers significantly more power reserves and of course the cinema room can truly bring to the quake. (And also the AS 650 SC has the Auspruch from the apartment brings up about it, you have believed in the short term, it would roar out ;-). The ability to make all the settings easily by remote control at sub 1200R, is also very pleasant.
In sum, I am using the sub 1200r been very satisfied because it visually seamlessly fits into the 5.1 set. The AS 650 SC2 or its close Zubau same successor SUB 650 can I each but only recommend highly. Once you've heard a good subwoofer, then do not want to miss it you. This applies not only in films but in particular for demanding music reproductions.
