Pretty much everything here is said to APE. I can only agree with all the positive reviews and recommend them without reservation. For me, the APE runs in addition to my (somewhat aged but still good running) FRITZ! Box Fon WLAN 7050th Because the FRITZ! Box, I was the WLAN standard only supports up to 802.11g looking for a router of 802.11n can. The APE is well known, no modem, the job will continue providing the FRITZ! Box. Also with me to install the APE ran smoothly! Per LAN connected to the FRITZ! Box, and short waiting current plan. The APE logs assigned to my Mac, network name and key, update loaded. DONE. Now I can run all older devices (which only run until 802.11g) as before in the 2.4 GHz band over the FRITZ! Box and all newer devices run on the APE in the 802.11n standard. So I have now two different wireless networks that run completely independently from each other and can be used.
Tip for all the same projects: Running both wireless router via the 2.4 GHz band should choose between the two channel spacing of 3-4 channels, so that the two can not come into. I have in my apartment with the APE and my Mac in 5GHz so good reception that I need not have access to the 2.4 GHz band of the APE, og conflict therefore does not take place.
It may be that in the 2.4GHz APE AND 5GHz can be operated at the same time also of advantage.
For me, the APE is a typical Apple product like! Cabling, configure runs !!!
