He is of course not really daylight-compatible but once it dawns or in a darkened room, the image is bright enough to be fun in spite of 'only' 20 lumens ;.
The 'DLP inner workings' of Texas Instruments offers a very natural image with rich colors and good contrast amazingly. The black level is of course not comparable to that of its bigger brothers, but is in this case perfectly fine.
Skin tones are quite natural. Only dark areas look a bit gray for lack of black level, but drink not from.
The sharpness is better than expected, despite the 640x360 resolution, even fonts are displayed sharp and legible.
Overall a (in my opinion) great picture.
Except for a small wheel to focus there are no other configuration options, which I do not as as bad as the picture 'factory' is very well adjusted. There's little to complain about.
The infamous DLP typical color fibrillation (rainbow effect) in rapid eye movements I could not perceive. But may be due to my now languid eyes.
The small speaker is doing quite well, it is not a sound miracle and the bass is virtually absent, but the sound is reproduced without distortion and clear. Dialogues are becoming very evident.
Really 'mini-cinema feeling' then come on in conjunction with a Bluetooth speaker. Also in the docked state, you can choose between the projector speaker or Bluetooth audio transmission. Since the picture is the same noch'größer '.
The girlfriend snuggle into bed, threw the picture at the ceiling, look at the Bluetooth-Speaker on the bedside table and shared a few episodes of Big Bang ... that really makes a lot of fun !!!
This can be abused him as an 'emergency charge' I find very handy when the iPod to go touch / iPhone once the juice can be taken anywhere threatening a recovery charge.
The design is practical, simple and appealing. With its non-slip matt black surface it is good and safe to hold.
The iPod Touch 4G can actually dock very easily and effortlessly.
I have definitely found a new favorite toys ...
