A surprisingly well-designed radio with potential for improvement

Positives:
- Good usability / menu guidance
- Good reception sensitivity DAB and FM
- Surprisingly good sound from the small built-in speakers
- Swivel Antenna solid mounted and housed very space-saving (if inserted)
- Rounded housing edges. The radio fits well in your pocket. (Eg breast pocket of the casual jacket)

Negatives:
- On the earphone output is a high unpleasant noise. I have therefore an intermediate cable made with 330 ohm series resistors Now (right in the line per a links and) the noise is no longer heard and the sound is absolutely clean. I must now, of course, the volume knob neat turn up to have a comfortable listening level, but is not a problem because the radio on the Ohrhöhrerausgang has enormous volume reserves.

- If you completely off his antenna and the radio hinstellt upright it is very wobbly and fall quickly. I put on the radio, in principle, flat out. The antenna I swing so that it extends as far as mechanically feasible about 45 degrees up and to the left. Have careful little steeper to establish with the Dremel some ground from the edge of the housing around the antenna. (If the radio is flat)

Suggestion for the manufacturer:
- The electronics of the Ohrhöhrerausgangs modify the noise to eliminate
- Reduce the volume on the reserve Ohrhöhrerausgang, it is me too high and possibly even dangerous harmful for hearing.
- Housing easy to modify to be able to install the antenna vertically when the radio is flat.

- Have the Power Consumption Operational measured it with Ni-MH batteries: It is 300mA
- With good, fully-charged Ni-MH batteries (1800mAh) should run the radio for about 6 hours.
