A beautiful Christmas story, with lots of singing performances, which are not totally kitschy, but in some cases demanding, partially funny. Most occur in the film characters sing songs! But there's also plenty of text, and everything not so intrusive as in a Disney movie of the 80's, the little kitsch is indeed exactly why you do not puts away a Christmas movie. The film borrows elements of Christmas with the Kranks and Christmas Vacation, but those are two good films. And he has, unlike these two comedies, a more profound message.
All other negative points are quickly told: At the beginning of the film is a bit lengthy, and the protagonist has virtually the only one worked out character development, the other characters remain pale. And the film takes place in Texas, where it does not snow for Christmas!
As I said, touching a Christmas movie with likeable cast.
