Bill Bryson was really bored in deciding to tackle the Appalachian Trail: one of the longest hiking trails in the world (2,175 miles). By cons, we do not get bored for a second to read the book from this trip, although the author himself admits that it was difficult to write because it lacked material (walk all day in the woods is not very exciting). A slightly different book Bill of other works, but that should appeal to anyone who has ever donned hiking shoes and a bag.
