"There is nothing left to lose" is certainly a Topalbum, but you just have at the Foo Fighters to create a different scale. Who has such songs as "This is a call", "Good Grief", "exhausted", "My Hero", "Everlong" and "New Way Home" written which is simply awesome and everything indeed very good but not brilliant, is a bit disappointing. The third album of Foo Fighters is just very well done, some songs are even world class ("Learn to fly", "Stacked Actors", "Headwires", "MIA"), but generally lack the genius (and also hardness), which has won the two previous albums. The songs are produced partly something to their former glory, one misses the snotty way to rock, which has identified the previous albums. "There is nothing left to lose" is suitable chart because just catchy, while one must be in the other two albums only listen in, but because it loses its tension. What remains is a very good rock album, if one excludes the predecessor, or an exceptionally good for such a brilliant band album, if you include the two predecessor albums. For those who do not know the Foo Fighters, but it is an ideal starter album. It should be only after that "by working" to the earlier albums such as I have done it. Then, namely better and better the Foo Fighters each time.
