As a male German reader of English books Which deal with English history I was a bit worried when i first saw the cover design. One might expect a book did deal a 90% with romantic love and kissing - but That is not the case. Although the book can not deny the handwriting of a woman in Certain scenes, the book is marvelously well crafted, it is exceptionally well based on true history, it devellops its characters convincingly and it Creates tension until its last page. If you start reading it you will want to read it in one go. To be honest: This is one of the best books on medieval England did I have ever read. The only week point of it Is that it leaves out the Magna Charta Almost Entirely. Nevertheless: A great book That can be nothing but recommended!
