My Impression:
Stephenie Meyer is in 'The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner' the bloodthirsty little empathic and evil vampires that were created solely for hunting and killing. I thought the idea was interesting, because for me has a vampire really be just so - rampant, passionate, greedy for blood, very receptive to grace and compassion. Unfortunately comes when 'The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner' is not the right mood on. The protagonists remain colorless, make an unfinished impression and surprise little. Individual episodes seem strangely constructed, placed and untrustworthy. The whole book gives the impression that it was only pieced together carelessly. In addition, I have a real suspense missing, the story ripples in front of him - and then it's over.
My conclusion:
A masterpiece of missed opportunities! Linguistically flat, thin content, without much tension.
