Externally, on the machine not be faulted and it is well made. Although the marketing superclass associated, playing the machine in the middle class: it is dominated by fine plastics and Plexiglas. Heavy metal and glass missing.
The operation of the machine is easy and problem-free. On the upper side there are two buttons. Pressing one heated to the machine and to less than 30 seconds it is ready to start (my pad machine took about one minute). The silver lever on top of one flips up and puts one capsule (where the old falls out). By closing the lever, the capsule is locked in the system. The machine is heavy enough not to slip during capsule change. Now press the left for an espresso (40ml) or right for a so-called "Lungo" (100ml).
Despite 19 bar, the machine is only little noisy. In fully automatic one has the loud grinding noise and the steam. When DeLonghi you only have the pump and here the noise continues under.
A switch does not have the machine. However, it also takes on no (measurable) performance when it is in standby. In the standby mode, it goes after 9 min. or if you press both buttons simultaneously.
The taste play the Nespresso capsules in the top league. The selection is great and it's fun to sit down with the different flavors apart. In my view, the difference with coffee from professional machines low (in fact). But you should know that you can get directly only on the Nespresso Nespresso capsules and quasi needs to enter the club. On one hand, I find the presentation great, on the other hand also a bit silly - Coffee is not drunk there, but "tasted" ;-)
We opted for the integrated milk frother to have one cable and a plug. We have taken the somewhat larger footprint in purchasing. The decision was right for us. The milk frother works like a small kettle with a whisk. Warming up and whisk takes about 80 sec. The result is in contrast to an espresso bar but ok. The foam is quite compact. Unfortunately, you can only prepare one portion of milk foam. Four Latte take about 5 minutes.
The cleaning of the machine is quite simple. After about 10 capsules you have to empty the capsule container and rinse the remains. Unfortunately, the plexiglass is cast not particularly easy to clean. Here you should make improvements. A pod machine is still easier to keep clean. The milk frother must also rinsed and wiped out - either after use or after every second maximum third cup.
Incidentally, there is no indication of a too low water level. If too little water in the tank, there is only one half espresso. My pad machine has previously indicated, if too little water in the tank was.
We have paid for the machine 180. Under a recommendation action we get 50 for the Nespresso shop, and the friends who recommended us 20th Even without discount campaign machine price would be fair. The discount can be good use, because the capsules are expensive. 30 to 40 cents per capsule.
It was a good buy. I look forward to the machine.
