Finally a compact standard zoom which images better than the 24-105, more affordable than the 24-70 II is 2.8, but brings a near-silent IS the latest generation. The macro function, of course, not with a proper 1: 1 macro can keep up, but for opportunity macros by example floret is more than adequate, there on top!

I felt all the reviews, reviews and videos (also originally not so well failed shortly after New Release) studied this lens in advance and it is therefore subjected to very thorough (though not scientific but practical) tests.

Conclusion:
AF (all points), centering, sharpness, IS, great macro function, no significant weakness in 50mm and no focus shift at close range or macro mode!

The processing is top class, the focus ring runs smoothly and soft, has zero game and the zoom ring is running very smoothly. Absolutely no Lens creap! The switch to Macro mode is not a problem that is neither too fiddly yet hackelt something there!

I run the lens among other lichstärkeren fixed focal lengths in a 6D and am completely thrilled!
