I have gained these headphones in order to listen to quality music. I have a Fiio X3 and appropriate music in FLAC format.
Unfortunately, the first headset was delivered with a defect in the right headphone, which expressed itself in a loose connection at the plug. Replacement was quickly provided by Amazon.
Style:
Simple and with quality materials of headphones comes along and I personally like very much. An additional benefit is the ability to replace the cable. He adapts well to the head shape and comfortable to wear.
Sound:
I would describe the sound as pleasing. He is not analytically by far. In Bach's Toccata manage the headphones in the final not individual organ flute tones to differentiate clean. The lack of impulse response created a slight sonic mush, which is not to my hi-fi system or my in-ears. I am aware that the Toccata was recorded in a church with entsprechndem Hall and therefore the sounds automatically superimpose. Nevertheless, the Onkyo's go in this discipline under something. But that was the absolute hardness test. In Blues / Rock, Pop and Accustic etc. headphones then deliver from a good performance.
The bass is very strong play. This is of course always a matter of taste. For bass heavy music (hip hop, RnB, etc.) that is certainly interesting. Personally I have a bit surprised how strong he was. Have the Bass sharply regulated for me as I prefer a more homogenous sound. Yet they sound really good and I do not regret the purchase.
Conclusion:
The Onkyo headphones really produce a pleasant sound and they provide for the price adequate performance. But because of the slight weakness in the impulse response, which for my taste too much bass and the first defective pair of headphones you get a point deduction.
Enjoy all buyers!
