I had ordered it for my new 600d, because I assumed that the camera is significantly better in the hand.
Subjectively, I must say, however, that an auxiliary handle - brings (smaller) drawbacks in handling with them - to my surprise.
(1) One can not put the camera with a zoom lens without it tipping forward. My impression was that this will get the lens in the long run not good ... means: We should be so simple cloaks the camera or between parked in the camera bag when you do not need for a few minutes.
(2) I was surprised that a grip handling the camera or the Gewichtsverteiling changed significantly. It's true: It has significantly more "hands-on" - but fast turning the camera undergoes a change of gravity - at least to me - less fun. Since then suddenly a "counterweight", an "imbalance" in a place where it was not before. This is difficult to describe - you have to try this yourself to see if you like it. Probably you get used to it at some point. However, I had the impression that a grip but is also a foreign body after some trial and error.
For me it was my "test result" surprising, because I initially thought the camera was on my period without handle too small. But is not it. I had now probably been because they used with one hand and without lifting auxiliary handle to pivot, and turn them quickly and high from the wrist down ... I found them at the end without a handle - for me personally - and handy I therefore returned the grip.
At the review you can see that I am not a professional: Most buyers are in fact already know these "small disadvantages" and take it easy in the purchase, because the benefits (better "pack at" vertical triggering, 2 batteries on board .. .) for them clearly prevail. In this respect: a review for "non-professionals" with as little experience as I ...
One thing I would therefore like to emphasize in conclusion again: If you want a handle - then you should take this one. People, though: Then you will buy quality! And I know that deducted a point - just because you realize at the end that you do not need the product - that's for sure borderline fair ... Sorry for that;)
