Style:
Elegant, fresh, for me the main reason to buy.
Screen:
The resolution has been impressive. The colors are intense and real (not colored). The widely-read critique that the menus, messages, etc. of many programs in the traditional desktop mode appear too small, I confirm. This is definitely borderline. The move to non-native 1920x1080 leads to significant uncertainty, and is therefore not a real option. On the strong levels have to get used, but is rewarded by excellent color reproduction and outstanding clarity. When you tap the screen during the train journey does not shake in the least, although it can be swiveled so flexible. In each mode, a high-precision touch screen, I catch my right index finger in the notebook mode and more often in the direct shortcut ;-)
The device as a notebook:
It is an excellent notebook in its overall functioning. No detail seems like a compromise in favor of the tablets (of the lack of an Ethernet interface except perhaps to keep the device slim). I use it for Internet, Office, images, video and music, not for games. It gives me so far failed to exhaust the reserve capacity of principal or GPU. Absolutely silent. In office operation hardly heat generation. The sound of the built-in floor speakers is quite tidy (whoever buys such a notebook, anyway has quality headphones), the keyboard is mature and superior to even the most good-screen keyboard hands down. The keyboard light is not varied, but balanced. The mouse pad is actually to operate like a mouse (click instead of tapping) and so good that I have my wireless mouse (so far always a must for me) not yet connected. Interfaces there are, as with all Ultrabooks few. For such a powerful device amazingly thin and light.
The device as a Tablet:
In comparison to a iPad3 the device as any Convertible is of course too heavy, too big and too thick. I found the idea interesting nonetheless and have viewed this mode rather than nice add-on. Meanwhile, I'll take him more seriously, especially since my first time the concept of Win 8 (.1) evident to which a convertible OS itself and here fully demonstrates its strengths. The screen can be swiveled smoothly, easily enough for the position change and strong enough for solid position holding. The whole thing is solved technically convincing and also looks good (hinges). Once swirled, remembers except the weight nothing to a notebook. If I, as not unusual for a tablet, hold the device on your knees, I always worry about the keyboard, in this case, yes, the bottom plate. Substance does not seem to be my concern.
Battery capacity:
The device is an Ultrabook. Who expects Tablet battery times will be disappointed. I consider the nine hours but not too exaggerated. The power pack is pleasantly small and light.
Overall, the Yoga 2 Pro (in the small version) is a high-quality, high-performance, lightweight designer Ultra notebook. And a full-fledged tablet. Lenovo maintains the familiar ThinkPad from quality even if it is significantly different ways.
