This online retailer I have already bought (Flashlight freak since my earliest youth) for our family and some members of our circle of friends some of these lamps. They are designed in such a way and do something I have not experienced in the past 60 years. You are about 9 cm long and about 2 cm "thick", shine brighter and are much lighter (with battery about 93 gr), as many former "giant Funzeln" (about 335 gr) with two D-size batteries and halogen bulbs (2.2 volt, 0.5 Ah). This mini Super light is equipped with a Cree LED, can be focused and requires only a single AA battery (AA) 1.2V, 1900 mAh or a battery of the same size (1.5 V, 850 mAh). Before I distributed the lamps with family and friends, I have tested "in all directions". She turns off after about 1 - 1 1/2 hours off automatically when the voltage falls below one volt. Batteries are then "finished", but batteries can be, as I have noticed in many cases, despite the lower voltage of 0.9 V again full load. This lamp is available on amazon 7-15 Euro, for which I would never have bought. This online retailer has sold including shipping for about 3 euros and they are not after 3 weeks "broken", as one would expect some of China products, but are already working for several months at nighttime forest runs, nocturnal bike rides, nightly home inspections or in finding gekullerten under the cabinet and objects can be hidden in a hand. If, like me, intend a longer transition forest at night, you should (I do this so) take 2-3 of these "lights" and 2-3 freshly charged AA batteries. One scheppt off not consumed no "vast amounts" of energy, has enough light and they can "keep warm" in one hand even in freezing temperatures. It surprises me that this lamp has been discovered and touted yet by any "Ökofritzen" where they all are so on energy conservation from. If the relatively good quality and also the Price btw. 3 and 4 Euro (incl. Shipping) remain so, I am willing, even 10 or 20 of these "mini-light bombs" to order and distribute in the family and wait also like 3 weeks or longer, until they have arrived from Hong Kong by boat with us in Germany.
