The picture is just so much more enjoyable. It is razor sharp and can be text and images appear in the utmost brilliance. Class.
In the IIYAMA there are a few shortcomings, but with whom one can deal quite well:
1) Build quality seems highly cyclical, so you might also one or the other device must send back to Amazon again until it fits. (Eg if White does not know but more nicotine is yellow)
2) Grundsätztlich one should even go along the edge and see if the device is put together properly. If not, then simply squeeze until it clicks.
From my perspective, the device has the following weaknesses:
- The sound is really very, very bad. Here it is worth buying external speakers.
- The stand looks very nice, but has a certain depth, where it also could be close on the desk once.
- The monitor edge is very dirt / Tactile.
- Because I run desktop PC and laptop at the same monitor, I would want to switch me an easier (faster).
Strengthen
- OK, the design (most monitors with such a resolution are not necessarily strong design). Fats frames Me Out. However, the Iiyama is also just OK, the silver variant not as high as I would have expected. Will change to black.
- The picture is of course great in this resolution. To work with MS Office and IE, I have the scale / zoom set a little higher. For software with many controls, for example, Adobe products, the resolution is a true blessing.
Hint
- The supplied cables are quite short. For me, the PC is under a desk, since the length is certainly not sufficient. The best equal to order a cable. The following should be noted: take a look at in advance what ports your PC has: if it has a DisplayPort, then this is to be preferred. If your PC does not have DisplayPort, then you should use a DVI cable (white, wide plug), but then you have to connect separately the sound, ie it also buy the same extension cord. HDMI is really only suitable because it does not support the high resolution.
DisplayPort => supports the high resolution and transmits sound.
HDMI => does not support the high resolution (but only Full HD) and transmits sound.
DVI => supports the high resolution but does not transmit sound.
If the review for you has interesting aspects includes, I would be "helpful review" looking forward to a very. Thank You :-)
