Certainly the adapter is somewhat fragile, but if you want to use it for persistent connections, this should not be a problem. Since the adapter is connected to its compact design as well as not on the IDE connector addition, the release is into something tricky and there is a risk that the outer pins to bend, if you can not deduct it in parallel.
