Without question, the originals are inaccessible awesome, but the interpretations on this album are still worth listening to ... The objective of such album can not be the original song as faithfully as possible to ape - because you can equal for the Doors - but a personal touch / handwriting bring in. Here and there the words new melodies, solos and intros are emphasized differently in singing, brought in. Most interpretations are quite successful, they have a right to exist ...
The selection of songs is first class. With 16 songs, the album is quite extensive.
Particularly successful, I find: Riders On The Storm, LAWoman, Alabama Song, Break On Through, Hello, I Love You, Light My Fire
Conclusion: The covers can naturally the charism was particularly supported by the vocals, not capture. Nevertheless, the album for fans and newcomers worth listening to. This music is of timeless beauty. Why else would so many rock stars make covers bother Doors songs when they are boring and anachronistic? Is not that respectful nod to this band, no recognition?
