To date, I have, at best, minor repairs sewn or "handicrafts" by hand until I got for Christmas the machine. I am a complete beginner when it comes to sewing NM and have me in advance even considered by various tutorials on YouTube, then read together yet diverse tips on the Internet. Basic tenor seem to be well aware that a good yarn is more important than the machine and therefore once bought a corresponding thread in a local shop and even ordered a colorful set of Gütermann here on Amazon.
The winding on the bobbin was seamless, just why the bobbin thread actually appears on the surface, was at the beginning a little mystery (but still works without problems :))
If ever a sewing machine in the house, they will of course also be used.
The first commissioned work for my oldest daughter was a small cell phone pocket (from scraps of discarded jeans and the outer fabric of an old tie than lining). That went relatively smoothly, I have learned here is that the upper thread back at least to survive 10 centimeters, or he is re-threaded on the first trick.
Factory number two was then already complex (at least for me;)): The favorite pants my great had a hole at the knee. However, the pants made of stretch material and previous attempts Flick the grandparents have failed. So seam of the leg open and then once lined the meantime quite large hole with another substance (with several rows zigzag stitches). Possibly gets even a patch over it (the repair of my daughter already so like the way it is;)). The previously separated leg, I then with the straight stretch stitch sewn up again (for all other variants would also no longer enough material was left). The seam runs straight and the fabric has not curled, the pants were already back in action - and holds.
The two time last "works" were then two Zipfelmützen for my younger daughters, even from the back of an old shirt, even with the leg of an old Jean as a starting material, which was not provided with a few decorative stitching "Jean Cap" and a lining got from a former neckerchief.
Preliminary Conclusions:
The machine does what it should, so far all the works are done. It should be also the manual and its positive impact, in the are given to all stitch variants stitch pattern, foot, recommended needle thread tension and stitch length. To date, all the seams on top and bottom are made (as far as I can tell as a layman), except for my first attempts on scraps of thread is never ripped.
A couple of things there that would bother me during intensive use or I would have liked differently:
1) The Utensilienbox can, once it has been pulled out, are not filled "from above", but only "side". This is impractical for loose parts.
2) The light should be able to be switched independently of the on / off switch.
3) The foot pedal could be slightly heavier and total "valent" or the cable should (it was also like a little longer should) not be delivered as kinked
4) The upper thread could be done better, especially with zigzag stitches he jumps quite strong.
5) An indication of the "residual amount" of lower thread would be practical.
6) The spool pins plastic act, at least not very durable.
7) The handwheel could be something "catchy".
8) A hardcover is probably not even to be expected at the price range, but at least one nylon softcover would be handy.
In principle, I would give the machine four and a half stars, because they do not exist at Amazon, I forgive (rounded up) full five.
