Aesthetics, and fast transfer rate.

I purchased this external hard drive in the Amazon 07/01/2013 (received on 01.09.2013) to 84.90.
Side presentation, it is aesthetic, sober. A small blue LED flashes when the back is active (there is no noise), and is easily transportable in a pocket. The USB 3.0 cable that is supplied about 50 cm. By default it is formatted in FAT32 with some software in the disk, so I formatted NTFS.
Regarding file transfers, I tested the hard drive USB 2.0 and 3.0 only in writing.
For the transfer via USB 2.0:
- 1 to 8 GB file, he put 4'04 "(about 37 MB / s)
- And 5449 small files (pictures) of 1.35 GB, it has 1'36 "(about 16 MB / s).
Concerning the transfer by USB 3.0:
- 1 to 8 GB file, he put 1'20 "(110 MB / s)
- And 5449 small files (pictures) of 1.35 GB, it has 0'48 "(about 26 MB / s).
For now, I am satisfied, it meets my expectations, ie, portable, fast on transfer rate and at an affordable price.
