After much research and even more comparative tests it is the Odys Cosmo become:
0. / 1. The display
For this price range, the display resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels is typical. You can not get premium devices (iPad, Iconia Tab, Transformer, etc.) approach, after a short time the comparatively easy coarser resolution disturbs no longer! Brightness in my opinion is in order - who (? Already any kind in bright sunshine) used these devices
The sensitivity of the capacitive screen (do not be fooled by the device setup, there is erroneously referred to as resistive) is very good and does not need to fear comparison with the premium devices. Slightest touch is sufficient completely, even at the edges. The Hannspad of Hannspree (also 200 Euro Class) cuts here clearly hakeliger.
2. Processor / 3 RAM
So far I have the unit 4 days in continuous use, the previously installed apps all run smoothly and without noticeable delay. Again, not so spontaneous but not annoying like Apple & Co slower.
Even scrolling through picture galleries runs very smoothly, although appointed by me μSD card is an earlier date.
Only on initial "An-Touchen" on a website that needs a little Cosmo stuttering moment, so it reacts; transitional behavior, then without delay.
For 3D games I can not speak, for I NEN hard-PC
4. Display Size
10 inches, here as in 16: 9 format are easy on the entrainment in the bag and large enough for comfortable surfing on the original sites. Mobile side view is not necessary.
5. Android Access
It installed an App Center, which also offers the most important apps. Very positive, I find that the access is not limited to these. Is an app for the device possible, but not available in this App Center, you will be redirected to the Android App Market. For this you need as usual a Google account. The installation runs smoothly.
6. Operating System
Installed Gingerbread; Updates on Honeycomb or ICS are not planned. A death must die to * g *; now I say the modified Gingerbread interface is comfortable, intuitive and perfectly adequate. Since everything runs really smooth, I would also advise against the installation of custom ROMs.
General + / - points:
+ Flash Able it is installed innately Adobe Flash Player 11
+ SD card detection quickly and easily
+ Battery power: The specified 4-5 hours are loosely exceeded if no compute-intensive apps to operate. The display of the remaining battery is however inaccurate: In less than 15%, the device has switched off the same with me.
+ Cover is the device already in the process, unfortunately, this is not standard everywhere
- No Menu / Back hardware buttons. I am a friend of fixed buttons for certain functions. Because of course I looked at the manual only after three days, I had initially very angry about these two functions, if mans know you can live with (3sec volume: Menu; 3sec Volume +: Back)
- Point of view (as described in other reviewers, horizontal somewhat limited, vertically without complaint)
o contrary to my experience of the first few days and a microphone in the device is installed, but it sounds very "tinny", whether it is useful or suitable for continuous use for Skype, everyone must decide for themselves at this point. But for song identification from the radio via software, it is sufficient.
o Memory: There are only 4 GB (2.5 GB for disposal) available, but SD cards are now just as well or better Pfennig products and to handle as a read only memory (eg holiday pictures show:. up on a separate card and rumzeigen, after 2 weeks is no longer needed then on the device ...)
o on the camera I'm not elaborate, would be enough for video telephony, otherwise rather gimmick
Conclusion:
For under 200 euros you will - in my opinion - not find better / more comfortable in this size. After initial skepticism (missing hardware keys / screen) I am now so far that the Cosmo is definitely in the house. It's my first instrument of Odys, but I have no reason for complaints; the price justifies the odd little weakness easily. Strong buy recommendation.

Addendum after 2 weeks use:
The device software has a large nose (not so on from standby) after complete switching on the function "Wireless & networks" - "mobile networks" - "" Modem Power "activated this - I think at least - trying with great difficulty continuously. . to find a data network and this consumes a good portion of the battery but since the tablet has no 3G or similar receiver, this consumption is meaningless So turn off immediately after switching this function;. battery life will thank a!
