I had some time ago a Harmony 555, here felt the pressure point of the keys but as a not particularly pleasant. In addition, the case had heavily geknarzt. The last 2 years I came out without universal remote control, now that there are increasing devices to be controlled, I have taken this issue again in attack.
First I have to get me a lot of thinking the Harmony 1100. Optical undoubtedly a smart operation, but that it ends there. The display is designed for today's times just too coarse you can pretty much see every single pixel. In addition, the touch screen responds only fairly quiet in firm pressure on the display. The scrolling between several sides behaved also very sluggish, so I sent the device back immediately.
Next, I had looked at the XSight remotes by OFA in the store, but I found it to be very clunky. This was followed by the Philips Prestigo SRT 9320, which of course was often well tested and highly praised here on Amazon. Pleasant I here the clear number of Key negative whereas the outsourcing of many functions on the touch screen also not convincing. Here I am perhaps old-fashioned, but for the most frequently needed functions I want to correct keys.
This then ultimately led me to the Harmony 900. Even though I was skeptical at first, because I think at the glossy no great favor, it is still processed largely with value and can be operated pleasant.

PRO Harmony 900
---------------------
- Fits comfortably in your hand
- Good workmanship
- Keys have a pleasant pressure point and shine discreetly in the dark
- The touch screen is crisp and reacts pleasantly fast in weak closure
- All units have been easily recognized (though I do not particularly fancy or very old components)
- Contain charging switching (was not the case with the example Philips)
- Good Logitech Phone Support (had problems with the PS3 Adapter, here in the evening I was at half past eight fast and friendly help)

CONTRA Harmony 900
---------------------
- Plastic part at the bottom of the remote control feels too smooth and a little cheap
- Software (1 star deduction): The Mac version of the software is a disaster and not to be used simply. Again and again, text boxes can not fill themselves, the software must be completely restarted. The Windows version works here clearly less vulnerable. As a Mac user should have therefore set up Windows either via Boot Camp or a virtual environment in order to save yourself frustration. The usability of the software is ailing total mightily so that detailed configuration costs a lot of time and energy in some places.
Overall, I can this remote but a friend without feeling guilty. The configuration is a necessary evil, the handling in daily use, however, then works exemplary. A personal wish of mine would have been rubberized buttons (if that would be possible at all with lights). That would have keys and housing once more separated haptic even without looking each other, but ultimately this is a subjective trifle. :)
