Installed the unit was also very fast, installed latest firmware via satellite and then tuning - super!
Sort models is also quite fast - takes for all stations about 30 minutes.
Included is an already built-in HD + module that normally the costs 60 euros and so for 12 months to receive the HD channels by private broadcasters as Pro7 and Co. enables - a nice little bonus here Kathrein has really thought along. Available then are still 2 slots for Pay TV etc.
However, here come the downsides - for Kathrein however nothing can but is at the HD + Specification: The private channels presume but really on my television viewing habits influence want to take! In HD recording of private channels no fast forward is possible! That advertising can not be skipped. Also it is not possible to set markers to at some point to look further at the site. Ie in principle I have a movie at a time by see or I'm starting over again ... Google for HD Plus! Also Youtube!
It follows that I take the public channels in HD and private not in HD ;-)
Since the built-in HD + card has cost me almost nothing heck not matter - at least I can still HD movies the private live watch on TV ... Thanks to Kathrein.
The image quality in SD and HD are excellent - because you really can not complain.
What I really like the setting of a Sleeptimers- if one falls asleep once the unit turns on itself.
Important: Some functions will of course only when the device is turned on - this includes, for example, the built-in Media Server. Again, Kathrein has thought - in settings it is possible to activate the remote access mode. This increases the power consumption in standby - but I can then access any time to the device of externally must turn without it.
1st attempt was then with a Samsung LED access which works great - at least it displays the folder structures. However, look at the video, there was an error message: not recognized file format. Hääh? Long story short: Samsung LEDs prevent the viewing of .TS files via network (Livestream) ... what Samsung thinks there is? If you load the video onto a USB stick and then plugged it into the TV, you can watch the movie excellently .. It is therefore definitely not the TS format, the Kathrein used ... one more reason to buy no more Samsung.
2. From a PC I can with a normal browser to access Kathrein: [...] - how chic! Here you get a list of all stations incl. Station logo, program name, what's on, etc. (See photos!)
Here I can then from the comfort of my computer from the program program to be included.
But that's not all! By clicking on preview I get a list of all shipments that come, clicking on a program opens a window and there is a description of this ... awesome Kathrein!
By clicking on the channel name - from hau! Then opens with proper configuration of the computer, the TV show that is currently running ... thus a TV card for your computer has done for ... everyone in the house can now watch TV ...
This works very well for recorded programs that can also easily can look directly at each computer - Live Stream! Alternatively, there is a button "save as .." then the whole video is stored on the computer. This works without any restrictions - except for the HD + channels - there goes nothing ...
Unfortunately, the Windows Media Player an issue under Win7 probably display the video or live stream ... so it goes: load VLC Media Player from the Internet down and install (free). In the Control Panel / Programs Standard / standard programs that specify file extensions .asx and .ts dm VLC Media Player assign ... then it should work.

Recording 2 HD channels plus watch a HD channel is also being recorded works without problems.
Are 2 HD channels recorded (Neo HD and RTL2 HD) may additionally contain a 3. stations are watched even more of the same transponder (?) Used. In this case: ZDF HD, ZDF HD culture, Sport1 HD, RTL HD, Vox HD. The Kathrein then automatically reduced in the program list the programs available.
HbbTV no idea what that is - and I refuse to even read the manual ;-) But I think I've found it - press the red button while watching a program: Ca. After 5 seconds the box below are displayed, for example: library, broadcast missed, etc. Here you can navigate intuitively. If you select an option disappears the TV picture and you get a list of thumbnails that are before Sort: z.Bsp Sendungsnahme1 (13 posts), Sendungsnahme2 (3 posts). Here one then selects a program and then you can view the corresponding contributions. Videos then take between 5 and 10 seconds until they stream - a contribution could not be displayed, a video consisted of still picture with subtitles ... I'm assuming that the libraries are not always in order (transmitter fault).
Navigating compared to my TV is swiftly.
Calling Apps - relatively fast .. it is not comparable to a PC - but absolutely ok .. is more probably the user's expectations.

Fast forward is no longer at any time, fast forward even if you go back panel!
Stops to a consignment after about 10 minutes, turn off the Kathrein, at the same place the reputation can be continued!

With my old Kathrein it was the red button - there is the REC button!
I can I look at a HD channels with Rec marks set are displayed with thumbnail. Thus, it is possible to hop on these brands. Example: brand at 30 min - 10 min to rewind - look a minute - then before hopping to the mark 30 minutes walk ... normally no more fast forward would be possible without brand..
Age Bug:
In EPG (tvtv) are some programs indicated that no data were present and dementsprechnd the shipments are not programmable. Here helps as my old UFS 823 (825) or so? : In the EPG Select the stations so that it is displayed in the preview. Schwups data are also there.
Reliability:
Hmmm .. all recordings have been working - and Ansehen- about 70 movies so far - so far reliably.
But there are also situations that cause a "hang-up"! (S ..... Linux ;-)
2 * I tried with a Samsung and LG to access recorded programs via http. Both TVs have not supported the .TS format. From then on, even the Kathrein was no longer reliable.
Once, nothing did - and a connected.
Once I had the problem that I wanted to watch normal broadcasts. These, however, have suspended after about 30 seconds. So turned on and off, then try other recorded program - again the same ... again and turned one - the same. Deadlog - a case for the return! But - for whatever reason - 30 minutes later, everything went back to normal ... Here Kathrein has to intercept the HTTP interface better.
At my vote nevertheless does not change ... I'm doing things here that are not unrealistic - but very special ... probably would another these anomalies do not even notice.
Update 19.07.2012 and résumé
This is not the tvtv data completely full is likely due to the setting on the transmitter level. By default, this data will be downloaded only for certain channels! In "Edit Channel List", this can be set to station level.
The copy function via the dubbed video on a Win7 release or NAS, as well as via download via the web interface can be properly via VLC, Media Player and Media Center Play - except HD + transmitter - there's nothing.
It is possible to accommodate 2 HD channels on a NAS (ZDF HD and RTL HD +) - at me a Windows release - see also my comment! Both recordings could then be viewed via the UFS 925. The list of recording archive is, however, support for the integration of NAS paths and USB stick.
I empfehel the image format 1080i - While Progressive's possible without Probs ... think but the picture is better and the switching times are faster.
Resume
For me an absolute top unit at a very reasonable price considering the 60 euros for HD + card and the 1st year deducts - though the HD broadcasts are still very scarce. Two expansion slots are still available: Top!
There is no question there are anomalies here and there with whom I can live currently: for example, can not watch videos of my SD66 are reproduced directly - MTS but I'm sure that the next firmware update comes.
In general, the discussion whether an older or another device there would be better since the HD + restrictions do not exist. I think it could be that in future all non-certified devices are switched off - the UFS925 but then still work ;-)

Despite new firmware, as well as a LAN cable dranhängt, the receiver restarts watch the movies. He takes up on just missing again one minute. Therefore, devaluation to 3 stars.
