First tries on the E-300 - and now the E-520! Overall, this combination is so heavy in the hand, that the image stabilizer almost no longer need (just kidding; in my liking for available-light photography ...). Still, for my paws ideal for particularly fine (women -) - Hands maybe less.
The focus was in 95% of cases without problems (and of all things: afloat). The focal length range is perfectly adequate for general situations, even for close-ups! My intermediate ring and the 50mm macro lens I need not even unpack when I visited the garden show in Tulln!
The image quality leaves nothing to be desired, I am very satisfied.
Conclusion: What do I do now with my 11-22er? Is probably superfluous ...
On the other hand the telephoto range is of course not huge; since the 18-180er is an acceptable alternative.
Next vacation (November 2008: Vietnam, Cambodia): E-520 with 12-60er as standard lens, telephoto 18-180er as alternative and the 50s with Aperture 2 for safety's sake for Twilight, but also close-ups.
