Addendum: Have still a point deducted, see comment (too late seen that I can change)
UPDATE 11/2014:
Again a quick update. Still use the part, despite shortcomings, because I so far unfortunately still not the KIV-700 (which indeed has its shortcomings) comparable car radio has come across.
First, the features mentioned in another review hanger followed by radio expansion make for energized, I also know to satisfy.
But what was much more annoying: use now for about 2 years the S3 (but also previously with the Xperia Arc has occurred). Often times, the phone combines not only, but shows only HF ERROR 68 on. In the already mentioned interruption in start-stop even about every 2-3 times. Unfortunately, which is then in the line of the song title and can not push away itself. Radio must therefore be restarted, so that the phone can connect again.
An earlier attempt, the current FW 3.30.4 (S3 now finally in the Kompatipilitätsliste), failed.
Another test 2 weeks ago has now finally worked. But from bad to worse:
Although the cell phone connects now (in the 2 weeks still no HF ERROR 68 had), but the transfer of phonebook currently hangs in approximately 9-10 cases. In The Song Title-line is permanently DOWNLOADING, and as has been the HF ERROR 68 can not be removed this. Unfortunately, help here in most cases not be restarted. From time to time but it works even.
So sorry, Kenwood, but since you have built real crap ...
Oh, already mentioned? On one-Posted a long time ago email request came (of course) no answer :-(
Just as a comparison: In our 2009 Nissan bought a Nissan tinkers Connect system. Here the latest available mobile phone is always searched if it is not there, the next in the list is tried. And, very important: Not since then had only one time with dozens of different mobile phones a single BT-problem.
And now the update (01/2015) for the update:
It took only a few days after my last update until the ever-popular HF ERROR 68 has reported back.
Meanwhile, there is an absolute matter of luck whether or after how many reboots the phone finally connects. My highlight was 6x (!) Restart.
Consequence: BT on mobile phone remains off and now I am considering a retrofit Bury FSE.
Oh yes: depreciation on 1 star
