Good is:
- The choice of materials. all parts of solid aluminum (both mirrors and all supporting parts). This unlimited corrosion and weather resistant.
- A choice of three colors (beige, anthracite, brick-red-brown) to match the background.
- Smart form-idea. The slightly angular shape, the antenna side only 45 cm wide, so it can be good in corners (as in my balcony) or at an angle cling to vertical walls.
But more importantly, by their diameter in the diagonal direction 55 cm (almost so as a 60cm-key), which increases the performance.
- The LNB arm holds the LNB so deep that the dish is aligned almost vertically. Also helps you to conform to edges, or they einzuschmiegen in corners. And, at ground-level installation in balcony and the LNB is very low to the ground.
- Income: Signal quality (SNR, signal-noise ratio) is 2 dB below one of me (with the same weather) also tested 60cm Technisat Bowl. For me as a surprise; Reason is likely to be the 55-cm-diameter in the diagonal direction.
- It is located in the signal quality 4 dB above a flat antenna as the current Selfsats (I had previously tested), and has not the many disadvantages and weaknesses (see my review here).
Bad:
- Currently found nothing.
Suggestions for improvement:
- Too bad that you do not get the bowl without LNB head when you place the supplied example, want to use a "winner" LNB. Then you could save 5 to 10 euros?
- The brightest color is not white, but an ivory-beige. For almost white house walls (like mine), I would have found it good if there would be a fourth color "very light gray". Or avoids Technisat this consciously because of yellowing purely risk-white pigments? Or considered Technisat the fact that only freshly painted white house walls are still actually knows everyone else on the other hand have a certain particulate matter or soot patina? Nevertheless, more choice for more substrates and tastes is always good.
- Manufacturer imprints I never like that.
Both, however, is now not so distracting that I would they spray with car paint from the hardware store (which of course, for example, for the purpose of camouflage could), or they would devalue reason.

Tips: Where you can mount your antenna?
A. find out they where the Astra is.
For the position angle at their location there are internet computers.
Find out as what the Astra illuminates on your wall or in your balcony past obstacles (neighboring houses, trees, balcony railing).
B1. over sun angles.
At a certain time of day the sun is horizontally adjacent to the Astra to a different time vertically above or below the Astra. Then they look at the shadow, which is shaded by horizontal or vertical obstructions.
The most convenient is the moment during winter or summer solstice, when the sun is at a certain time then just behind the Astra. The exact timing can be berrechnen conveniently "Satellite Outage" pages.
Take advantage of an internet sun position calculator which outputs an ecliptic chart that allows you to translate the angle from step A in times. The chart takes into account especially. Also, that the sun is not yet home with you at 12:00 in the south! Because it does only if you would happen to live on the 15th degree of longitude, in which matches our CET-time zone time exactly with the astronomical "sundial" time of their residence. In Germany, the only the very east part of the Republic of the case (in Gorlitz on the Polish border). The rest of us live somewhere between Görlitz and Greenwich, therefore with the sun in the south "sometime" 12:00 to 13:00 (winter time) or 11:00 to 12:00 (summer time).
The solar method I had used. Has the advantage that you do not have to put the head of the assembly out of the question. Disadvantage: in the dark 4 months the sun is always so deep that it can never show the height of the Astra (but only its direction).
B2. night about stars.
In winter, starry sky, the belt stars of Orion constellation striking leave every night from the Heaven Equator. Since all satellites are also very close to the celestial equator, Orion shows a belt star at a certain nighttime the Astra position quite well. All I know this, I had taken the solar elevation method.
B3. about their digicam.
Each zoom level corresponds to a certain angle, so you can use your digital camera as an angle measuring device. However, if only not very accurate (lens distortions, inaccuracy of the manufacturer), unless you measure the actual field of view of a certain zoom position before itself, eg on a room wall. Formula for Windows calculator: (width or height of a subject) / 2 / (camera distance from the subject) = intermediate result; then [Inv] [tan]; then * 2 = angle.
In addition, each angle measurement needs a reliable starting point. So you should either see the horizon, or with a spirit level aim for an equally high point you then use as a starting point. For horizontal reference point may be a prominent point in the distance take (tower, power pole, etc), and then determine its direction in Google Maps aerial view. Most conveniently you take a an internet computer which calculates its boresight for two geo positions. Or ask a friend / acquaintance who sails or flies, or whatever has to do with water or Nautical. Or do you know someone who has a Navi for outdoor / water sports, because they have often already incorporated such Conversion functions. Or, if the point is so close (eg the edge of a nearby building) that all on one side of the screen is well identifiable in Google Maps, you just take his good old school set square)
B4. etc. via a homemade "Peilrampe" made of styrofoam parts, box parts
B5. Do not feel like any mathematics, but they want to angle for easy reading directly? buy yourself a cheap then Sextant for under 20 euros.
At the end I knew that I was in the balcony corner at the bottom was set up (with balcony Floor-touch) my bowl.
