It is so far the only remote control that has been accepted by the family immediately and could be used intuitively for me.
From my own experience (885 Logitech, Philips Pronto touch screen, etc.) I was not previously possible a family-friendly universal remote for our relatively large Multimediaaustattung (plasma, projector, satellite box, AV receiver, Media Switcher, DVD, PS2, etc. ) to be placed.
It failed either because they dived behind the FB ago when the kids / dogs entered the room to the outrageously expensive touchscreen model to protect against collateral damage (Pronto models) or ...
There no one came to terms with the action-oriented operation of the FB (Logitech), in which an overzealous händisches off devices unfortunately FB does not conform and follow all set in the household prior problems that you did not have the 5 old FBs ... questions like : "Why do I have now only to device which is everything in the world a Device Why is this all so complicated, but it should be easier by panacea ?????
And that is precisely the target group of Sony FB, the family wants to "only" TV.
Here, the good:
+ Easy programming via codes
+ Programming via direct learning (have my complete satellite box without problems trained)
+ Direct access via buttons on all devices (Family Friendly :-))
+ Macro capability (easy to program)
+ Best value for money
+ Interchangeable shells (although ... please lays Black to not speckled midnight ....)
+ Sufficient memory for learning functions
+++ Intuitive operation !!!
Why then the last star is missing ??
- Mostly small (my paws !!!) keys
- The color buttons (teletext etc.) are difficult to see at night (lighting or slightly larger color swatches)
- Be in Macro mode (and only there) can not simulate long press) I get a macro thus my not turned on Panasonic plasma. This requires a longer turn-on. When I turn on TV and "On" on the Sony FB holding longer it goes. But is more likely to Panasonic, who built it as accidental Power On.
The "negative" points are absolute trifles (for me) and should improve rather than request apply (hence only 1 star less).
I (finally we) are very satisfied with the FB and would buy again at any time.
