Initially, all the points in the pros and cons, and then the detailed text. Here I would like to say straight away that the points, especially the negative, are reflected meticulously. I will assess the individual points with up to 5 stars to come to a final result at the end.
Pro:
- Display
- For the display size amazingly compact ...
- ... And easy
- Extremely good battery
- Very good reception (here with klarmobil)
- Very fast operating system
- Beautiful, sophisticated and truly useful additional functions (knock-on)
- Very good sound with corresponding headphones (Sennheiser IE7 here and Parrot Zik)
- Lots of customization without additional Apps
- Back buttons that are really convenient for familiarization
- Is expected directly to Android 4.4 KitKat updated
- Great camera in daylight ...
Cons:
- ... Has the fast but noisy at night and a slow focus
- Creaking back under the keys
- Mobile Internet has morning öfterns be "turned on" by airplane mode (sometimes no automatic setup for WLAN connection
- Speaker on the bottom just right (when the sound is hidden away, for example, when playing or videos)
- Bluetooth menu pops not automatically when activated
- Memory not expandable by SD card
(Many of them are really small things that pass as neutral in others;))
Processing:
The mobile phone is installed in a plastic unibody in carbon look. Processing with one exception excellent. On the back of the enclosure under the keys creaks audible, and the phone sometimes disturbing. However, this can quickly eliminate a Case. Here, however, care should be taken to take a rubberized, as it quickly falls out of your hand otherwise.
For its display size, the phone is (thanks to Edge-to-Edge) also amazingly compact and lightweight.
Despite the unibody LG has unfortunately found no place for an SD card. Therefore, you should think in advance whether the rich or 16GB is rather resorted equal to 32GB variant.

Display:
The screen plays at the moment safely in the top three of all mobile phones. The 5.2-inch full HD IPS display is very sharp and is very natural colors represent. Black is not quite as black as with an AMOLED display, but it has an absolutely pure white with no color cast. Particularly noteworthy is the very good brightness. Even in direct sunlight, everything is perfectly readable.
The only disadvantage the virtual menu keys might be called VLT, claiming therefore some space on the screen. Only with videos and photos they disappear automatically. Otherwise, the diagonal reduced to 4.8 as "effectively usable Androidoberfläche. Unfortunately, the buttons do not disappear while playing, and rob the precious display area here.

Operation:
The keys are installed on the back. They are very good to feel and have a good pressure point. They are the only metallic parts outside playing with prolonged or other computing tasks Ornate be slightly warm. It takes about 2-3 days to have completely converted to the new key documents, what it's really worth it. The keys are just there where the finger is, at least in the vertical position. The on and off button is slightly raised, but can not be pressed accidentally, as well as the plastic is increased by the button. Now it has been in the car when the phone is used as Navi, finally no longer stress the mobile align so that the keys are not pressed. The same is the case when making calls. Only in landscape mode you have to look once shortly after the keys.
The operation is perfected by the knock-on. To turn extends a double tap on the screen to the phone wake. The virtual menu keys can be adapted in their number, order and function.
The keyboard is good though operating, works for me but still not good enough. Part word suggestions are given, but not incorporated in pressure on space (especially in text boxes on the Internet). Also, it comes in the proposals messed quickly when you come to a number in the top row times.

Sound:
The sound from the speakers is especially loud, but rather emphasizes height. But here we may indeed expect miracles. Unfortunately, they are directed downwards, which unfortunately affects the listening experience in landscape mode. In addition, only the right speaker is really one. If this locked, what can happen when playing or videos in landscape mode fast times, the sound is gone.
When it comes to the sound through headphones, things look quite different. The sound is really excellent and has to hide behind any MP3 player. Should to get the full benefit, but absolutely individual headphones to buy. Even though I have little more demanding here which supplied In Ears are just unusable. But I know of no manufacturer who mitliefert halfway useful. But if I through my Sennheiser IE7 In Ears or Parrot Zik Bluetooth headset to listen to music, it is truly outstanding.

Camera & Media:
The camera has both positive as well as negative aspects, can convince the smartphone everyday but.
There are many settings and beautifully explained modes, some of which are really handy. Thus, a photo will be shot for a long time to remove all the moving objects from the background, which works very well. In general, the best results in HDR mode can be achieved and the course during the day. The camera provides images from very sharp. This is due to a to the optical image stabilization, which compensates small wobbles very accurately. The software also sharpens to quite aggressive. This is her but at photos in the dark's undoing, because the sharpness is expressed here in noise. However, I have not seen a mobile phone that delivers useful in low light photos. Dark rooms are well lit with the flash. The focus is equipped as with digital cameras not only at one point, but with multiple fields and very accurately, even if he is not the fastest. In daylight the results are always very good.
All this also applies to the video. Only the focus falls on negative here because he has pumped up he asked sharply. For the built-in microphone is really excellent. The recorded sound is by far the best one I know of mobile phones.

Performance & battery:
The battery is probably the greatest strength of G2. A day keeps it without any problems, even with average use, through. Otherwise, like 1 1/2 days. I reach for the moment an average battery life of 1 day, 1 hour. Today I have 14% battery left and out 1 day and 11 hours of operation behind me. Really amazing.
The performance is as you would expect at a high-end smartphone. To the limit one can take it hardly. No game can bring them to their knees, although the buttons on the back are doing something warm. Lags or similar does not exist.

Additional functions and personalization:
The G2 offers many additional functions. The only new that I can see here, is the possibility to define the buttons of the apps themselves. All the other functions you already know from other manufacturers, but it's still nice that they are on board.
For example, pause a video, if one turns his head from the cell phone, the ringtone is unfortunately when the phone is lifted or goes straight out when it turns, etc. It is particularly helpful but the knock on, which comprises two tips mobile phone on and off switches. Somehow this feature was also needed to ensure that mobile phone does not have to be canceled last, and to turn on while lying down. But still, it's incredibly practical and continuously in use. This is by far the best feature, even if it's just a little.

Conclusion: 4.5 of 5 stars
With the LG G2 has delivered an absolute blast. In everything to do with Contra has to be said about it that it is partly subjective, or at least very picky. Only the lack of SD card slot and the creaking back are two points that disturb easy. 32 and 64Gb would have been yet more beautiful. Otherwise, it's a super smartphone, which leaves no wish unfulfilled. It has to be just just made sure that you can buy a version with enough memory. Perfect the mobile phone is not, but a perfect mobile phone simply does not exist. The LG G2 is but schonmal very close. Apart from that there is a full purchase recommendation from me :)
PS And would not even come from someone in the LG a year ago shortlisted. The G2 has managed to convince me!
