Already the third Olympus underwater camera and always satisfied.

After I already had the 810sw and 1030SW, I have in the meantime tried a competing product. Of course that was a disaster and I went back to Olympus Weider.
Once again, I have done everything right down to some (sometimes very annoying) little things

+ Very good workmanship
+ Download via mini-USB. This also by any universal charger with USB cable connection
+ Good display. Even in sunny weather it provides a clearly visible image.

o Good pictures - colors are clear. Resolution and detail as well. Noise when lack of light is OK.
But solid colors are represented with strong color pixel differences. Since the predecessor models were 10x better. Apparently cheap chips were built at this time. More megapixels deteriorating quality is still no progress!

- I recommend the touch function of the screen turn off, saving the trouble with some of the unintended operation. Only unworldly Inginieure can come up with such a nonsense as the touch screen camera.
- Fiddly W / T buttons. This is a real let down. The previous models were much more ergonomic.
- The same goes for the menu button. A joystick control in the microformat. That's not good in 90% of cases. And try it even less if you walk, swim, etc. Then there gheht 100% wrong. I'm disappointed. Is this a Japanese minimalism?
- This also applies to all other knobs. Children under 6 years have so little fingers. I definitely do not.
- The LED can be switched on via Settings. For ad hoc shots it takes too long. Since the predecessor models were also better.

On the whole - Good camera with annoying service.
But otherwise no alternative. And only because of the lack of alternatives, the 4 stars.
