Dead Space 2 (DS2) puts the player in the shoes of Isaac.
Recovered from his drifting in space, Isaac is on a station, the Medusa, where horror settled early on in the game. Isaac will be confront his old demons (so to speak) and will have to stop the madness associated with the monolith.
The EA Visceral Games studio has taken advantage of the success of DS. It is clear that the subject is under control. The graphics are superior and DS2 of the soundscape is still well integrated.
The bestiary was enriched. The arsenal of Isaac too.
The game is still scary though Medusa does not provide the oppressive effect of the Ishimura very dark with little wide corridors. A few well-chosen effects will startle the player.
However, as said in other reviews, the Action side is emphasized. Hoping that the franchise does not do as Resident Evil.
DS2 is completely Frenchified. Isaac finds his voice, that of Xavier Fagnon (including DiNozzo in NCIS).
The game is quite long (15 levels) and quite a few trophies, winning over several passages (at least 2). For the fiercest aimed platinum trophy, a mode that occupies "madman" with only 3 backups and starting at the last for death.
I did not test the online mode, but it exists and a pass comes with the new game.
If you enjoyed DS, DS2 will also do.
If you are curious about the franchise, today DS2 is a good price.
Note that the limited edition collector and contain the DS game released Extraction on Wii. Friendly but not great at the Classic Controller.
What can I say about the game ... if not strongly Dead Space 3!
