Connecting the Firestick is easy. HDMI extension of the stick, and into the TV. Power supply into the wall socket and the Fire Stick is ready for use. (Only criticism here: The USB cable for power supply only has a length of 1.50 m, here I would have been 2.5 me - desired 3 m.) Switching to the appropriate HDMI input and immediately Firestick see the loading screen. Quick connect to the Wi-Fi and you're done. Prime customers are registered in advance on the stick. This asks a short whether you are really one and then one must look at a 3-minute instructional video.
I use it for my TV in the bedroom, because this is not a smart TV. And I have to say I am absolutely positively surprised. By the 1 GHz processor, the user interface has a super fast performance! Unlike my Samsung Smart TV, where the load of Amazon Prime no less than 15 time takes seconds to complete, is at the Firestick direct the user there, and movies can be dialed directly.
The range and reception of the remote control is absolutely awesome. I sit on my bed about 4-5 meters away from the TV. The Firestick is located on the rear panel of the TV. Nevertheless, the drive immediately recognizes any input on the remote control. In addition, the remote is kept extremely purist, making it very easy to operate. You can do what you need. No more and no less.
The design of the user interface was initially a little getting used to. However, you get used to fast on the presentation. What made me also very enthusiastic were the movie recommendations which one gets if one selects a movie. Thereby one finds several films which are a so not suggested. (These proposals do I get with my Smart TV does not)
All in all I'm very excited. A great asset when you're Amazon Prime customer and does not have a Smart TV. And if you a Smart TV still has a slight improvement on many models. Therefore, definitely 5 stars from me !!

The only thing that is already previously happened to me, this is the pause function has shot the film. Through the pause paused picture and sound, but the current sound would be output permanently (by which one can imagine a loud buzzing or beeping). In addition, the film was not smoothly be seen after the break. I had to get out of the movie and restart it again. Fortunately stores the User Interface in the cloud exactly at what point the film has ceased to look. (However, so far only happened in a film. 5 other films and several series episodes I could pause it there.)
