First, I must say that I have a very strong and vigorous growth of beard, at the same time very sensitive skin and have been occasionally shaved looking forward to a "Braun Series 7" -Trockenrasierer. Therefore my dry shaving is familiar and I can compare both razors directly.
The Brown I am se computationally satisfied, but the "jack of all trades" he has not yet. So I was looking forward to the Panasonic - was particularly interesting to me here the possibility of wet shaving that I did not know so far with an electric razor.
Optical is the Panasonic is not as stylish as the Brown and thus more casual, but at the end one so only the shaving result. The shaving head is unusually clumsy, but when it is for a gentle shave useful - why not?
The "ES-LV65" was charged rapidly and the first test on one, since the last shave for 24 hours grown beard, could begin.
Everything went smoothly and my face felt like it anyway smooth and I felt no irritation. Edit something more I had, however, the neck area - there was a little more complicated, the whiskers rid - but they were then also disappeared. The first impression from the very first shave: I was happy with the shaving result.
The next day we went to the wet shave - also again on a 24 hours a day grown beard.
I have my face first wetted and then lathered with not too much shaving cream. Then it started. First, the neck area - the razor glided pleasant and easy on the facial skin, with gentle "rustle" was heard, like the beard was shaved smooth under the foam. If it no longer rustled that was a good sign to move on to the next part of the face, because the beard was from.
Next we went to the chin, the cheeks and then with the nose area - again slipped the razor without much pressure easily through the foam and shaved off his hair.
Has lasted wet shaving a little more than 5 minutes, but the result was quite impressive - the face was smooth, the neck not intermingled, not cut hair longer, and shaving was really gentle.
Lastly, the "ES-LV65" now had to prove again today at a dry shave a beard grown for 48 hours - after two days the hair was also longer than after a day.
And off we went ... unfortunately did not make the "ES-LV65" this time to remove the longer, swirling hair on the neck quickly and cleanly. I had to do a long time to get the neck fairly smooth, which then of course there resulted in significant skin irritation. Conclusion ... there more than one day grown hairs are not removed by the neck quickly and cleanly.
At chin, cheeks and especially under the nose of the "ES-LV65" has again done an excellent job on the other hand and gets a perfect score.
However, precisely the neck area the problem zone when men shave and unfortunately here'm not really convinced - here shaved my "Braun Series 7" actually faster, more thoroughly and more gently, because you can achieve with it requires fewer trains to a smooth shave the neck and so that the skin naturally irritates less than if you over and over again trying the intermingled hair with the "ES-LV65" to remove there.
Overall conclusions of my tests:
The "ES-LV65" is a very good shaver, if you have a normal and not too strong and vigorous facial hair or if you shave every day, but if you have not shaved times a day and sprout hair on the neck in all directions , then he will not make it, unfortunately, to make a good and convincing job there ... shame ...
Four stars therefore only for all in all, good and solid Panasonic "ES-LV65" -Nass- / dry shaver.
