For me there's two statements: 1. not got the right plug or not seated properly - is indeed very important for the bass reproduction - confused or 2. it is "Bass play" with "nonexistent bass fake". Since nowadays many consumer appliances yes do just that, I take that to quite.
As a test run there was Jon Sass (Tuba, ingenious recording), Tool (10k Days), Bonnie Prince Billy (Darkness), Manhattan Transfer (Offbeat of Avenues), Rim Ties / Norah Jones, Vivino Brothers, Bass Connection and Mc MagicMark - as said: come no new bass to it, but at ordinary seat of which was there before. One am very happy about my Camtech system - object of comparison was the AKG K271 Studio. By contrast, the UE 4 are only minimally dropped - if anything, I'm not quite sure.
As a "reference" for the first selection of the right pad I found the enclosed foam things quite suitable - then you know how the listener should sound - u can do with this hearing impression on the search for the matching silicone plugs from the attached selection - with me were's the middle.
They are my first in-ears, so I'll do a little worried: if the UE 4 sooo sound like then sound the UE expensive models, and as the Customs? I'm afraid that might be the beginning of a long friendship expensive ;-)
I bought the in-ears but for a different purpose: as a monitor control for sound recordings to finally wegzukriegen the ambient noise from the monitor and thus really being able to control the recording - it plugs it (apart from the nice side effect also on the HiFi system to can) they are more than perfect! And you can wear it without pour torrents of sweat out of your headphones while the current weather in a few minutes ;-)
