the positive:
+ Super image quality in bright light (Zeiss lens)!
+ Very fast turn-on!
+ Very short shutter lag!
+ The small size (fits great in your pocket => Buying a camera bag does not apply to me)
+ (Can practice after prolonged they also very good one-handed use) handiness
+ Short battery charging time, long battery life, practical Battery Remaining Indicator
+ Easy to use (the manual I did not need)
+ Custom White Balance (important for true color images)
+ Manual exposure compensation
+ Manual selection of aperture and / or shutter speed
+ Little red eyes in flash, even without anti-red-eye setting
+ Smart Zoom (at VGA setting incl. Digital zoom it is 14-fold)
+ Fill-flash or normal
+ You can increase or decrease the flash intensity
+ Videos of very good quality! (Memory card but only with a "pro")
+ Very good workmanship of the case! (With the silver one sees fingerprints after use, in black not. On the display can be seen in both a thin film of lubricant, is not annoying)
+ Which is protected by a transparent plastic panel display and is scratch resistant!
+ The, albeit small, memory card included. so at least you can test whether an image quality or camera per se, appeals! a larger memory card in the set always means price increase and no one wants, right? if they suit you can buy afterwards is a yes. have me as I knew that I will keep, bought a 512mb per SanDisk.
Now the negative:
- Only two ways of iris adjustment in manual selection
- The sport mode is absolutely not tolerable! automatic shutter speed is far too high! does not work very in poor lighting conditions eg room. the images are too dark without a flash to black! I use instead of sportmodusses always the manual mode with the self-selected by me shutter.
- Very low light intensity the farther the zoom is extended. in poor lighting conditions (room) the flash must usually be switched on when the full zoom is used.
more negative there's nothing to report.
the cover for the charging cable connector is integrated in the lid of the battery compartment. I open to always load the complete cover and so no need to be afraid that the little breaks.
Conclusion:
the Sony DSC-P200 is a very good, easy to use, enfach transportable snapshot camera. the star deduction gibts because the above-mentioned negative properties.

Addendum:
after half a year I have the cam. sent for dust on the lens and they cleaned get back.
then I sold it without much loss of money and the Canon S2IS risen (larger zoom, but not as sharp as the Sony Pictures).
