The benefits of the Tamron:
+ The anti-blur
The biggest advantage is really the anti-blur (VC) in Tamron - this is superior to the anti-blur (VR) of Nikkor hands down. (Not to be confused: the VC Tamron catches already full from half-pressed release button to work, working in the Nikkor because only in a "Level 1" and goes only by the trip to the full balancing on - I do not mean!)
The Tamron shots are from 250mm from the hand no problem. I (in equal conditions) so few blurred pictures as I can produce sharp when Nikkor. Here, the Tamron is truly unbeatable!
+ Speed
The Nikkor is really not slow to 250mm it is even "sauschnell" - but only up to 250mm. After that weakens the Nikkor and the Tamron is significantly faster. I think below the 250mm are they similar (although I Tamron "feel" Again a slight advantage).
+ 5 years warranty
Tamron offers (at registration within 2 months from purchase) 5 year warranty. Since sentient (t) e I already kidding me as Nikon customer of the fact that the Nikkor this warranty in USA also gets - but we are Europeans for Nikon probably "second-class customers."
The disadvantages of the Tamron:
- It is not a case here
The supplied when Nikkor bag is convenient, but you can probably live without.
- You have to intervene in the exposure more
Say: I correct on the D90, the exposure usually sometimes to -1.0 where I had to go only to -0.3 to -0.7 at the Nikkor. But you have to intervene eh often enough and it then you get used to quickly.
- No seal on the Bayonet
The Tamron has no seal on the bayonet, unlike the Nikkor. Whether I need? Well, that can be bad so just say. I missed not they, but filled with madness it's probably not.
The conclusion:
I chose because of the much better Verwacklungsschutzes for Tamron and sold the Nikkor again. At the end are the images - and shaky are just not as good as sharp!
In addition, the customer gets at Tamron still 5 year warranty - as I say "thank you!" and attack like to!
(So why only 4 stars? Well, the Nikkor 70-300 would only get 4 and "perfect" is not even the Tamron!)
