This book offers, in a dense reasonable size but a full picture of the Nazi-soviet confit. Unless major discovery it will be hard to beat. For reading so many mediocre publications, superficial, incomplete, on the subject I really enjoyed the mastery of Nicolas Bernard. Finally a book that comes out of the box including the personality of Hitler. Without any complacency about the character (the racist aspect of German lagression and its consequences for the population are widely discussed) it avoids the usual delusions like, all decisions of Hitler were mistakes, there would have been enough do the reverse to change the course of history. The book shows the contrary he had a very clear vision, but he had no chance to win a war he had hired lightly
