This magnificent epic is strictly Gallic staggering. Those who know the author, and those who have read his previous book "winning the war" already have a measure of his incredible erudition, his vocabulary of great depth and its ability to immerse the player in a universe that he mastered every detail. It is a very singular adventure that invites us with this new book. Keen on Gallic culture, it draws us into the mythical story of a powerful chieftain, a king decided to tell his memoirs later on. The story takes us down because it starts so to speak in media res as the young warrior that he has to perform a purifying quest he has a good chance not to return alive. But this quest plunges in his past, and through the story of his childhood, embriqué in 3 chapters like so many Russian dolls, we discover all the lies that shaped his personality, all the meetings that forged his character and all myths are the cause of his beliefs. While keeping its romantic character from the first to the last line, we get the feeling sometimes disturbing to be facing an encyclopedia of Celtic culture, fortunately very inspired, highly integrated, lively, exciting, immersive always. And it is the satisfaction of filled drive wins. We must cling time to go into the story, but the game is worth the candle, when finished, envy is already taking us to plunge us back into some of its richest pages.
