In a homemade test I have a "P10 32GB Lexar JumpDrive USB flash drive can play against a similar high quality USB flash drive 3", with whom I have had a good experience since more than one year. Both USB flash drives are FAT-32-formatted and fortunately delivered without annoying software or other junk. From its 32 GB 29.8 GB (Lexar) or 29.4 GB (the other USB flash drive) available.
As a simple litmus test on the operating speed of USB sticks 3 I formatted both USB sticks easily over again and stopped the time. The Lexar USB flash drive was completely reformatted after 6 minutes, the other stick took 26 minutes for the complete formatting. This really very amazing difference has even with repeated measures and with various identical comparison sticks (of which I had bought four pieces) can be reproduced.
As a further test run I have my entire online office on the Lexar stick shift and only does a good week, the editorial work from Lexar stick. Here I have - beyond the operating system due to lack of trash - noticed no difference to the work on the hard drive. Everything went smoothly and quickly.
The time savings in everyday pottering with the "Lexar JumpDrive P10 32GB Memory Stick USB 3" was so convincing that I thereupon the many USB sticks that have accumulated over the years here in the office, have screened and discarded. All USB 2.0 flash drives that are mechanically stable, have been reformatted and put "give away" in the drawer, the discarded USB sticks landed in a box "electronic waste" and are sometimes disposed of. And my other USB 3 sticks now playing only second fiddle as security backups and images transport sticks.
