"Invisible Touch" had between "Genesis" and "We Can not Dance" is not easy. Fans of the first hour accused the album, too strong to squint to commerce and to sink in glossy Plastikpop sounds. But there are two aspects that serious - positive - carry weight:
1) Are all the songs mutate into classics that today on the radio still up and down, and played on its routes (September 1986 - July 1987) were not missing.
2) is partially accepted the level of * * Genesis older disks again (there are now and then to hear even prog rock bonds) and found back to old songwriting strength.
As Anspieltipps are `Invisible Touch`,` Tonight, Tonight, Tonight`, `Land of Confusion`,` `and` The Domino .... Brazilian` call. With `In too deep`,` Anything she does` and `Throwing It All Away 'but some less successful pieces are still available. You get here always feel that the group has lost some line and not exactly know where she would go.
"Invisible Touch" is the album of Genesis verissenste history certainly. Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford did their job consistently well and it shows the songs also. Here, the group has based strong riff and melody written history and deserve just because of "Invisible Touch" 4.5 Star with sinking tendency to 4 stars. But the level declined thereafter unfortunately again (`We can not dance`).
Conclusion: heavy on the stomach lying glossy pop album to hear enough. 4 stars!
