Belkin has locked its software for beginners (or even less), and thus to set aside the people who know a little and waiting an IP camera that can serve them anything but show off in front his friends or watching his goldfish.
Already it is only WIFI. WLAN jammer that is very easy to find (or make) and I think that some burglars are already equipped. This has the effect of making the blind camera ... and therefore useless for video surveillance.
Then, to configure you must have a smartphone (Android, Iphone), if not impossible to configure. It has a local server that runs on the camera but can not connect to the set and the doc provided no information on that. Even looking on US forums and using the admin account: Anonymous nothing to do ...
Once on your wireless network, you will need to register at Belkin (personal information entry) and use their website for the right daccéder to your camera. This is annoying because the day Belkin decide to stop his site, you will put the camera in the trash without being able to do anything else with.
Finally, as there is no router configuration, this seems to mean that the images pass through the Belkin server before being sent to the phone. The manufacturer has put a pretty nice logo "Safe," I do not believe at all.
Too bad, the resolution seemed to be tolerable.
I would add that many US users back disconnections Video on IPhones.
