Nokia 3109 classic gray (EDGE, GPRS, HSCSD, CSD, music player, Bluetooth) mobile phone (electronic)

Customer Review

... And that in the positive sense.

I now for about seven months working with this Nokia 3109 classic. It is in our company's standard mobile phone because of not just existing camera. All in all a robust and reliable phone with which I made the following experience.

What I like the 3109c:
===================

- Display: The display has probably "only" about 160 x 128 pixels, but it is also really easy to read. The font sizes used I can without glasses even eiwandfrei read, z. B. the caller name displayed. The text messages are shown in the same font size. But it could not hurt if you had the phone 240 x 320 donated.

- Shape, design and size: The 3109c fits easily in any suit, a shirt or trouser pocket. Nevertheless, you have got it right with this size to make the buttons "huge" size and this also excellent to illuminate. After about seven months of little signs of wear can be seen on my phone, the surfaces of the phone seem to be relatively insensitive to scratches.

- Address: The address seems to be huge. I currently have really saved all relevant contacts therein. Each contact has at least two fixed-line numbers. In a majority of two mobile phone numbers and fax number are not stored and at about 30%, I have also entered the mailing address. The address I back back and back with the available in Nokia PC Suite software.

- Bluetooth: The Bluetooth bandaging works perfectly. With headset and laptop.

- Outlook Synchronization (Calendar, Tasks, Notes): I associate my 3109c via Bluetooth (and PC-Suite) with the built-in Lenovo T43 Bluetooth interface. Everything works smoothly. I transfer the appointments but only by Outlook on the phone and not the reverse. Both directions I have not tried yet. I am just only important appointments "while having". In order not to overload the memory, the PC Suite (you can download it from Nokia) the possibility to transfer the dates from a specific period of time, so that one z. B. in advance for a month past appointments and three months with him. But everything is freely adjustable.

- Stopwatch, timer: Very useful, I find these two functions. Be it at work or at home.

- Alarm Clock: Excellent dissolved. There are even Weckwiederholungen possible. For example, the alarm clock Mon-Fri, Sat and Sun but then rest. Well done.

- Mobile Internet: The browser is not a revelation. But it suffices to look for. As the timetable for the train and possibly to buy an electronic ticket.

- Battery life: I'll be even with much Telefoniereri about two to four days. Here I call so ewa 45 minutes per day and five write SMS.

- Speakerphone: Built-FSE is excellent. The speaker strongly and the microphone well. Teleconferences with four people on "my side" had not been a problem.

- MP3 player: The MP3 player provides good services if's on a business trip at the hotel again did not have a TV. Too bad that no radio is integrated.

- Memory: The memory can be inflated by Micro-SD card to 2 GB, which is more than adequate in my opinion.

- The selection keys can be assigned freely. So I left occupied with "Favorites" and left with "Bluetooth Menu". Beyond these "favorites" you just go without a lot of clicking but z. B. at the alarm clock, countdown timer, etc ...

- The navigation key can be freely assigned. However, I have not need to change much / want. Now open at a pressure "down" the address, "up" the world clock, "to the left" is a new SMS created and "right" to open the calendar. Well, that largely the basic settings. Those who can not remember, can display the assignment to the base screen.

What I do not like:
===============

- It would obviously not Nokia, unless some bug would be in it. So I have on my phone often twice on the "Accept" key to an incoming telephone call and to accept. Sure, no doomsday, but falls in under the category of "shoddy workmanship". When I look back remember my E50 but this is already a huge improvement. Perhaps Nokia's just so, to produce the next phone Bug-Free.

- Network connection: As often as with this phone I had no "connection error". Whether that actually is on the phone or on the network (Vodafone Business Classic) I can not judge.

- Operating Instructions: If you already had a Nokia, so will have no problems. Who had no Nokia, will have to try something and who only start with mobile telephony, has hopefully knows someone with something.

- Delivery: No headset available. I bought subsequently three of the HS-40. One is now in the car, one I have on the desk and one to really have an always available in your backpack. For the price of the HS-40 it is worthwhile in any case, the fines for telephoning while driving to risk.

- No Radio: would be really nice for the above reasons.

Conclusion:
====

All in all a reliable Arbeitgaul, for all who do not want much more than calling and text messaging. The lack of camera is a must for me as a customer can hardly with camera would be on it's premises us.
