Article on top - poor embalage

For Article no complaints: cheap backup battery, operating in my Canon 700D packaged in a small cardboard box with bubble wrap.
However, the package of this small cardboard 5cm by 3cm (roughly) was shipped in a carton 40cm by 20cm!
Usefulness? Apart from the fact that it did not fit in my box by forcing the letters - which still permi of damaging its closure system ...
